Design & Technology

Children are encouraged to develop their ICT capabilities, to be confident and discriminating users who can recognise the impact ICT will have on their future lives.

The subject is developed progressively in Grange through offering a continuous programme of learning opportunities, these progressively demand more sophisticated activities. We teach ICT as an integral part of learning across the curriculum.

Each class has one session per week in the ICT Suite which has a network of 15 computers with internet access. Children also have access to computers in the classroom or in the year group area. The school is wireless linked and laptop computers are used to gain internet access in the classrooms. Interactive whiteboards are installed in every classroom.
